VeChain has released its updated whitepaper, which outlines a new emphasis on Web3 and sustainability. Whitepaper 3.0, titled "Web3 for Better," envisioned utilising Web3 technologies to develop sustainable supply chains and support environmental activities.

It uses the term phygital, a combination of the words physical and digital, to describe the blending of physical and digital encounters to produce new notions of value and methods of cooperating. Here, we will discuss the newly launched whitepaper. So, let's start.

New VeChain Roadmap Is Live

In the most recent VeChain whitepaper, a road map is provided for getting the network ready to take on global sustainability problems and realise its physical vision.

Achieving this ambition requires the contribution of outside developers and key partners. The developer toolkit is now comprised of a Web3 adapter, openZeppelin standard smart contract libraries, Web3-as-services, a dApp interface, wallets, and mobile SDKs, and a testnet that already has everything developers need to get started building on the chain.

VeChain said that it would keep offering grants, hackathons, bug bounties, and accelerator programmes as incentives to developers.

The roadmap covers 2023 to Q1 2024 and is broken down into three sections: sustainable ecosystem apps, ecosystem characteristics, and infrastructure.

Some notable roadmap additions are DEX/DeFi, a wallet browser extension, an Ethereum token bridge, and an NFT marketplace.

VeChain asserted that sustainability is a much broader concept that encompasses establishing a balance between environmental protection, economic growth, and social welfare while being commonly associated with ecological issues like recycling and emission reductions.
